Where do we Start? (Bailey & Jakicic, 2012, p. 10)

Picture
The overarching goal of each of the strategies is to focus and maximize the amount of time the team has to develop meaningful products, not to detract from that time. If your processes and systems are efficient and concise, they will help your team stay on track.
  • Prepare for efficient and focused meetings.
  • Focus your teams efforts with clear goals

Tools & Resources from All Things PLC

Efficient, Focused Meetings

Define roles - These may include a meeting facilitator, the timekeeper, and recorder.
Have clear agendas and keep notes - Meeting agendas should inform and guide whatever discussions will be taking place about student learning.
Stay organized- Use data notebooks organized into critical sections. Each member of the team should have a copy of this notebook so that everyone can be on the same page.

(Bailey & Jakicic, 2012, p. 10)

Team's Efforts with Clear goals

  • Establish norms
  • Establish collective commitments
  • Examine data to determine areas of student learning needs
  • Set clear and measurable targets for improvement
